I love exercise…

It is a passion of mine and I love the whole experience. I love to set new goals and devise training plans. I love to train hard to meet those goals and I also love the mental strength required to stay strong when the going gets really tough.

However, I learnt the hard way that being physically fit does not necessarily equal being healthy (see My Story for full details) and consequently my passion and drive has been refocused. My health is now of the upmost importance to me, as maintaining health will ensure that I can continue doing what I love for many years to come. I appreciate now how important it is to manage all of life’s stresses to keep the body and health in balance. If you have a hectic job, poor diet, stressful home life on top of a gruelling training regime you are in danger of tipping the scales in the wrong direction. I’ve been there, and its taken much hard work, soul searching and determination to get back on track. Respecting your body is key. It needs to move, as humans we are designed to move, but it also needs to be fuelled with nutrient dense foods and it needs to rest and recover to grow stronger.

  • Recurring illness/ongoing fatigue: are you fed up with always being ill, injured or just feeling too tired to bother exercising any more? Let’s look at getting you back on track.

  • Stress fractures: together we can look at the best nutritional strategy for you to help prevent future fractures and to facilitate a speedier recovery from a current fracture. We will also look to address any likely causal factors.

90 days: sports nutrition programme

A programme with a holistic approach where you are listened to, your goals understood, any symptoms that you may be experiencing are tackled, and the solutions are whole body focused. Together, we address:

  • Diet: day to day dietary habits together with the mix and quality of proteins, carbohydrates and fats consumed. How nutrient dense are your food choices?

  • Fueling: Pre-workout, during and post-workout nutrition.

  • Your personal goals: be that training, performance, weight and/or health related.

  • Health: your current state of health.

  • Stress: together we’ll look at your total stress load and how this could be impacting your overall health. We’ll look at ways to improve resilience and stress management to enable you to better cope with the added physical stress load from training.

  • Recovery: how to ensure sufficient recovery, and strategies for reducing recovery times.

  • Mindset / frame of mind.

How the programme works.

  • Consultations: three monthly face to face on-line consultations where you share your concerns and aims. In the initial consultation we will take a deep dive into your sporting and health history, together with your personal goals and build upon the recommended plan during the second and third consultation.

  • Personalised nutrition protocol: outlining your aims, goals and the recommended plan which will be updated following each face to face consultation.

  • Supplement recommendations*: tailored to your specific needs.

  • Recipe resources: packed full of delicious nutrient dense snacks and meals.

  • Email support

  • Fees: £275**

Optional add-on testing*

To assist in determining the best nutritional approach to take, one or more of the following optional add-on tests may be recommended depending upon your situation.

  • Adrenal stress profiling.

  • Sports performance blood testing.

  • Comprehensive hormone testing (DUTCH).

  • Food intolerance testing: vegan, vegetarian and omnivore panels available.
