Clinical Testing

Clinical testing provides a snap shot of what is happening in the body at a particular moment in time. It can impart valuable additional information to enable a more accurate assessment of your overall health and to assist in the identification of the underlying cause(s) of health conditions. Testing can also be used proactively, to help identify and remedy issues before the manifestation of negative physical symptoms.

Using this information enables a more more targeted nutrition and lifestyle plan to be created.

A variety of methods are used to collect samples, including saliva, blood draw, finger prick, dried urine and stool, with samples subsequently analysed at reputable clinical laboratories.

Examples of clinical tests include:

General health

Nutrient screening

  • Including Vitamin D, ferritin, and active B12

  • Comprehensive ONE profile

Chronic fatigue screen including an adrenal stress profile plus metabolic analysis

Cardio check: An advanced blood assessment of lipids and cardio-metabolic analytes

Sports performance

A great way to improve your performance and get results is to understand what's going on inside your body.

Sometimes things don’t go according to plan and without knowing what’s going on in your body, it can be very difficult to understand why you are not performing at your best.

Key markers include hormone levels, thyroid function, inflammation, iron status, vitamin D and B12

Gastrointestinal profiling

A comprehensive gut health and microbiome stool test provides an detailed analysis of the GI ecosystem and chronic disease-related microbial (bacteria, yeast, parasites) markers, alongside host health markers to assess inflammation, immune function, digestion, gut barrier health, and occult blood.

Other gut related testing includes Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), fructose and lactose malabsorption testing, bile acids among others.

Food intolerance & allergy

Food intolerances: Omnivore, vegetarian and vegan IgG profiling enables the measurement of IgG antibodies to a wide variety of foods, thus facilitating the identification of elevated immune responses to any that are included on the chosen panel. Food intolerance can contribute to systemic chronic ill health.

Food allergy (IgE) and gluten sensitivity testing also available

Hormonal profiling

The DUTCH Complete test provides insight into your sex and adrenal hormones, metabolites, and detox pathways.

While DUTCH cycle mapping delivers a clear understanding of the overall menstrual cycle and is a useful tool in understanding hormonal imbalances which may be contributing to a couple’s inability to conceive.

Thyroid

Advanced thyroid testing includes the following markers: TSH, free T4, free T3, total T4, anti-Thyroidperoxidase antibodies (TPOAb) and anti-Thyroglobulin antibodies.

Add-ons include: Iodine, Bromine, Selenium, Arsenic, Mercury, Cadmium, Creatinine.

Clinical tests can help identify the most effective nutritional protocol for you.
